Medicinal Mushrooms Can Help Against Migraine
Migraine – Or when thousands of little hammers are knocking on your headA migraine-attack is characterized by severe throbbing or hammering headache. A migraine attack can occur once or several times a month and starts gradually. Usually, the headache is often located in only one side of the head. Pain is heavy and is accompanied by further symptoms like nausea, light and noise sensitivity and vomiting. The complaints are often so severe that the affected persons withdraw from public life and only feel relief in dark and calm rooms.
In the United States alone, about 30 million of people suffer from migraine. About two to three million suffer from chronic migraine which means that the persons affected have to deal with ten to fifteen attacks per month.
Medicinal mushrooms can bring long-term relief
The Traditional Chinese Medicine has known the numerous application possibilities of medicinal mushrooms for centuries. There are also effective medicinal mushrooms which can bring significant relief for migraine patients.
As a basic therapy, the intake of Reishi and Shiitake is recommended. Shiitake can improve the vascular tone which is important in the prevention against migraine-attacks. Reishi has regulating properties in stress situations and can balance emotions and the hormonal balance. If stress is the main trigger for migraine, the additional intake of Cordyceps and Auricularia is reasonable. Cordyceps has mind and body strengthening properties. Besides that, Cordyceps has balancing effects on the excessive hormonal balance of the brain. Auricularia supports the therapy with its muscle-relaxing and circulation-promoting qualities.
