TekTone® Wireless Emergency Call System Obtains UL® 2560

TekTone®’s Tek-CARE®500 wireless emergency call system received the UL® 2560 listing for use by assisted and independent living facilities. The listing provides a further layer of safety and security for those facilities that require a more flexible system for mobile and permanent residents.

Systems carrying the UL® 2560 listing are tested to high standards specifically created for the senior living industry. Residents and care providers alike can be confident that the system installed at their facility will include the features that they need and the quality of product required to meet those needs.

The Tek-CARE®500 wireless emergency call system uses the Tek-CARE® software and integration platform, and wireless devices provided by Inovonics. TekTone® maintains a longstanding partnership with Inovonics. “We are pleased to partner with TekTone®, as they deliver even more effective and reliable solutions that leverage our patented wireless network infrastructure.” said Todd Stanley, Senior Product Manager at Inovonics. “We’re proud of our long relationship with TekTone®.”

Wireless emergency call systems offer a broader range of capabilities not typically seen in nurse call systems. The Tek-CARE®500 includes options to add resident check-in, wearable wireless pendants, off-site monitoring, and other features designed to fully integrate the modern senior living facility.

For over 40 years, TekTone® has designed and manufactured UL® Listed Tek-CARE® nurse call, wireless emergency call, and wander management systems; Tek-SAFE® area of rescue assistance systems; and Tek-ALERT® integration systems. TekTone® products are designed and built in our FDA-registered, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in North Carolina — and our network of distributors and representatives stretches worldwide.
