Naturally New York's Pitch Slam Finalists to Compete for $150,000 Prize Package at Live Event
Finalists Announced for Industry Competition in Collaboration with Whole Foods MarketNEW YORK, May 16, 2024-Naturally New York, which fosters connections among New York area entrepreneurs, leaders, and investors, is excited to announce the finalists for its annual Pitch Slam event following BevNET Live on June 13. In collaboration with Whole Foods Market, five New York City entrepreneurs will step on stage and present their consumer-packaged goods (CPG) to a Whole Foods Market Category Merchants panel to propel their industry growth. The event doors will open at 4:30 PM ET in the Metropolitan Pavilion (110 West 19th Street, New York, NY 10011).
The Pitch Slam finalists selected will compete for a $150,000 prize package including cash and services supported by 19 industry partners; BevNET, NOSH, SPINS, SG Credit Partners, NIQ, BeyondBrands, BeyondSKU, Rosenthal & Rosenthal, Kerry, Propeller Industries, Fairfield Partners, Foster Garvey, Six60 Partners, Konnect Agency, New Hope Network, Specialty Food Association, FounderMade, Haven's Kitchen, JPG Resources, and potential placement at select Whole Foods Market locations. Following the live pitch competition, the Grand Prize Winner will receive a prize package valued at $100,000, with a $25,000 cash award. Additionally, the Audience Choice Winner will be honored with a prize package valued at $50,000, featuring a $7,500 cash prize.
The Pitch Slam Finalists are as follows:
● Brooklyn Best - Brooklyn Best is an NYC-made, small-batch, lower-sugar iced tea and lemonade line featuring top flavors Peach "Arnold Palmer", organic peach and lemon juice, and all-natural tea.
● Jack & Friends - Jack & Friends crafts food inclusive of different lifestyles and dietary restrictions without sacrificing nutrition - starting with Jackfruit Jerky which is vegan, top 9 allergen-free, and packed with up to 15 grams of protein and 9 grams of fiber per bag with no added sugar.

Each finalist will have the privilege to collaborate with distinguished mentors in the CPG sector, comprising esteemed investors and brand pioneers from nationally recognized establishments. These prominent industry mentors will furnish invaluable counsel to the finalists, providing optimal strategies for capturing the notable panel of judges' attention while also imparting their expertise on fostering brand growth during this unique process. Additionally, Naturally New York is proud to offer SPINS mentorship sessions tailored for the esteemed finalists. These sessions offer expert guidance, equipping participants with the necessary tools and insights to excel during the live event.
The chosen finalists will have a critical three-minute window to captivate the judges with their pitch, presenting their specialty food and beverage products. They will be judged on the following criteria: presentation, storytelling abilities, innovation, social impact, branding, packaging, and market viability.
