L&L Products received the Macomb Business Award in the Hometown Hero category

Romeo, Michigan, May 9, 2024 - L&L Products was awarded the Macomb Business Award in the Hometown Hero category at the 12th annual Macomb Business Awards breakfast hosted by leaders from Macomb County, Michigan. L&L Products has been part of the Macomb County community for almost 70 years.

The Macomb Business Award program "recognizes organizations that are striving to build their workforce, expand market share, be good neighbors, embrace diversity, or start a business." A panel of judges reviewed 135 nominations and selected winners in each of the seven categories.

The Hometown Hero category recognizes businesses for their efforts to benefit the local community. It is considered a great honor for L&L Products to win this award out of the 14 other local businesses that demonstrate their commitment to community involvement.

John Babi, Vice President - Americas at L&L Products, and Jay Krawczyk, Director of Human Resources at L&L Products, attended the event and received the award.

"L&L Products is honored to win the Hometown Hero award," said Krawczyk. "Our team strives to live out our values, one of which is to be good citizens in our communities."

In Macomb County, L&L Products works to benefit the community in several key areas:

• Job shadowing opportunities for students and sharing business concepts with teachers at Romeo High School
• Scholarships and donations in several local communities and school systems for robotics, athletics, and academics
• Sponsorship of local events, including the Romeo Peach Festival, St. Baldrick's, and
Ride to End Suicide
• Employee volunteers in various local programs
• Adopt-a-Family donations
• Manufacturing Day tours with local school districts
• L&L Educational Foundation provides scholarships to employees' spouses and children, as well as donating to local schools for their STEM programs
