Africa is a large continent containing relatively few parrot species. Nevertheless, especially African Grey and Senegal parrots belong to the most popular pet animals of the world. At the same time, little is known about their natural behavior and ecology, and some species already give some serious reason for concern in terms of conservation. The outstanding book “Parrots of Africa” (ISBN-13: 978-3833484452) will provide enormous help to those engaged in the biology, conservation and aviculture of these unique birds.
