NJ Startup recently awarded European Patent for easy breathing UV Mask, kills viruses at the source all day long, stops the spread

The decontaminating UV Mask kills viruses present in the exhaled breath of infected individuals wearing the mask, even if asymptomatic, thus preventing any transmission of the virus to the nearby population or environment.

This technology and approach to design of this product is unlike any other, as evidenced by the recently granted European Patent.

Here is how it works, breathe normally, and enjoy that there is no additional work of breathing. The mask has a system of check valves to control air flow that direct exhaled air into the two UV Chambers where it experiences a dose of 254 nm ultraviolet to fully deactivate any virus present. Germicidal UV-C is known for its ability to destroy all microbiology (including viruses, bacteria, and mold spores). The UV Chambers contain the UV and are designed to accommodate the user's tidal lung volume and all cadences of breathing. The UV Lamps are powered by a USB battery pack for 9 hours of continuous operation.
