Carletonville, Gauteng, 5th April 2024 - In an impressive display of innovation and expertise, Eric Mhlanga, the esteemed founder and Group Managing Director of 1912 Holdings Group, clinched the third-place award at the esteemed Grit Lab Africa-Centre for Emerging Researchers (CER) Hackathon. The prestigious event was held on the 16th of March, 2024, at the University of Johannesburg's business school, JBS Park. This collaborative effort included the Centre for Emerging Researchers (CER), JBS's Innovation Lab, and the Gauteng Department of Economic Development, uniting industry luminaries to present their pioneering solutions.

Amidst a field of 74 skilled contenders, Eric Mhlanga distinguished himself with his inventive contributions to the Ed-Tech and Disability services sectors, earning the admiration of both judges and spectators. His participation highlighted his unwavering commitment to technological advancement and his ability to navigate the competitive landscape of artificial intelligence applications for small businesses.

Reflecting on the accolade, Eric Mhlanga expressed his gratitude, "Being acknowledged in such a distinguished assembly of professionals is truly humbling. Eric Mhlanga showcased the group's pioneering Disability Support SaaS tool, "AbleBooth", poised to revolutionize the sector with its comprehensive applications for individuals with disabilities, support coordinators, HR professionals, and recruiters. Additionally, he spotlighted 1912 Holdings' foray into Ed-Tech with the "Ngonza" Learning Management System, designed to deliver academic content in indigenous African languages.

This event not only cast a spotlight on 1912 Holdings Group's endeavors but also paved the way for strategic alliances that promise to elevate the visibility and impact of the group's AI-driven initiatives.
