Iron Gate Motor Condos Presented 3rd Annual International Auto Show

Naperville, IL – Dozens of pediatric cancer patients and their siblings took a ride of a lifetime with their parents’ blessings at Iron Gate Motor Condos in Naperville, IL, during the recent 3rd Annual International Auto Show, held in support of the local charity Cal’s Angels. Iron Gate Motor Condo owners along with auto enthusiasts from the Ultimate Road Rally brought more than 50 cars for rides, allowing young cancer patients to escape momentarily from the challenges of medical treatment. More than $30,000 was raised for Cal’s Angels during the annual Iron Gate Motor Condos event.

“Every year this event is a rewarding time for the owners at Iron Gate Motor Condos,” explained Developer Tom Burgess, the visionary behind the Chicago area’s first, exclusive garage residence for classic, collector or exotic vehicles. “It’s when they get to share their cars in a joyful way with these young cancer patients and help make cancer go away for the day.” The pediatric cancer patients were able to experience the beauty of these classic, exotic and luxury automobiles from the front seat of the vehicles!

“I loved it,” exclaimed Aiden Becker, 5, of Aurora, who concludes chemo treatment this summer after a three-and-a-half year protocol. “The red car [a Ferrari] was so cool, and then I got to go out again in a convertible!” Eight-year-old Mason of Geneva, IL, who was recently diagnosed with DIPG, had to be carried in and out of the cars, but the huge grin on his face lit up the International Auto Show event.

As part of the International Auto Show, Iron Gate Motor Condos also presented 20 awards to the more than 200 car owners who participated in a selection of classes and divisions by origin of country from Italy, Germany, United States, France, and the UK to the car owners.

Cal’s Angels is a pediatric cancer foundation granting wishes, raising awareness, and funding research to help kids fighting cancer. Cal’s compassion for putting others before himself inspired his parents to start the foundation to help kids battling cancer and provide financial assistance to their families.

Iron Gate Motor Condos, which officially debuted last fall, has already sold out 60 units and its initial phase of construction, with the second phase of 58 garages development already underway. The sharing of passion for classic, collector and exotic vehicles in a like-minded community is fueled by the camaraderie of fellow garage owners, frequent car shows and timely events.
