Community Rallies Behind Ashleigh Evans in Battle Against Rare Cancerous Tumor

Ashleigh Evans, a beloved member of the Sarasota community, finds herself in a courageous battle against a rare and aggressive tumor. A dedicated mother, talented actress, culinary artist and philanthropist, Ashleigh's journey has captured the hearts of those who know her.
Last year, Ashleigh was diagnosed with a rare genetically mutated variant of familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), leading to the discovery and removal of a sizable tumor. However, in a devastating turn of events, she now faces a larger tumor pressing against her spinal cord, threatening her mobility and life.
Despite undergoing major surgery and facing mounting medical expenses, Ashleigh encountered another setback when her health insurance coverage was abruptly terminated, leaving her and her young daughter vulnerable.

About Ashleigh's Diagnosis: Gardner fibroma-associated desmoid-type is a rare and aggressive, often malignant tumor, affecting deep skeletal muscle, bodily integrity, and is 100% guaranteed to lead to a more severe level of cancer. Currently Ashleigh is at stage two out of four stages. Effective treatment options include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and medication to prevent the recurrence.
