Amanda Kasmira Cryer selected as Top Social Impact Influencer of the Year by IAOTP
Amanda Kasmira Cryer, social media influencer, ambassador and award-winning filmmaker, was recently selected as Top Social Impact Influencer of the Year for 2024 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the industry.
Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself; only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. All Honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.

With over two decades of experience in the film industry and fifteen years working in the social impact space, Amanda Kasmira Cryer is an award-winning filmmaker, influencer, social impact consultant, philanthropy advisor, and keynote speaker. As a social impact ambassador and advisor she has worked with hundreds of people from diverse backgrounds including CEOs, actors, leaders at the United Nations, thought-leaders, individuals working in politics/policy, Nobel Peace Prize recipients, & founders of nonprofits in how to develop and amplify their impact & influence. Amanda has developed, led, co-lead, and coached dozens of programs for organizations, as well as solo entrepreneurs worldwide, that engage each participant to initiate real-world projects and real strategies that produce measurable and lasting results for humanity and the planet. Amanda's unwavering belief that every person has the power to change the world, fuels her mission to empower individuals and companies to maximize their positive impact and influence on global well-being.
Currently, she is producing and/or directing three documentary films, 'Living UN DONE', 'Radical Forgiveness', and 'Made In Doraville', and is in development on two narrative feature films one of which will explore a corporate whistleblower case. With 'Living UN DONE', Amanda hopes to illuminate three systems which she feels are intrinsically linked - digital punishment and mass incarceration, the mental health care system, and the drug misuse/big pharma industry.
She serves as Chief Global Ambassador for GetBundi, who is spearheading STEM and digital skills education across Africa. Founded by Osita Oparaugo, GetBundi's mission is to make STEM and Digital Skills education available across Africa, and through their foundation to support those who are potentially left behind, especially girls, internally displaced students, disabled and refugees. Amanda is also a Lifetime member of Women In Film Atlanta (WIFTA) and a Champion Member of Women In Film (WIF). She is a philanthropy advisor and member with Footboz and Top Tier Impact, respectively. She also holds pivotal roles on advisory boards for national and international nonprofits, including the National Incarceration Association, founded by Kate Boccia.
Several years ago, Amanda was struck with two brain tumors, and diagnosed with several white lesions on her brain. Years later, a diagnosis of multiple TBIs was discovered. Her mind got foggy and her limbs slowly lost mobility. She became unemployed and experienced temporary homelessness. For almost 4 years, her life was an odyssey of being bedridden, seeing multiple doctors and requiring full time care.
Thanks to a plant-based diet, yoga, meditation and a lot of prayer, Amanda regained her mental clarity and is no longer in a wheelchair or walking with a walker. However, in the face of uncertainty as to how much time she has left, as well as the tremendous mental toll the often-debilitating physical symptoms have on her daily, she knew she needed to find a way to generate joy on a daily basis. A way to thrive.
The online world gave her a place to share her mission of uniting humanity, while also pursuing her purpose -- empowering others with the tools she learned to create lasting change, and then elevating their causes to the world. As a social impact ambassador, Amanda supports organizations in scaling their message and mission. She is committed to being a unifying, compassionate voice on all platforms.
In her 15-year journey in the social impact space, she has been dedicated to nurturing an ecocentric world and fostering global unity through media, education, and social impact. She has collaborated closely with organizations, investors, and entrepreneurs, addressing critical global challenges and assisting them in formulating and implementing impactful initiatives including ESGs and SDGs. Amanda's influence extends to LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube, where her messages and insights reach over 500,000 viewers and subscribers on a daily basis, with tens of millions of views on these platforms.As a Keynote Speaker, a passionate advocate for mental health, and a burning desire to unite humanity, Amanda believes that every person (and company) has the power to change the world. In addition, Amanda is a LinkedIn TOP VOICE in Social Impact, Leadership, Mentorship, Film Production, and has been featured in LA Weekly, Yahoo Finance, Women in Business, Forbes, Inc. Before embarking on her career path, Amanda began studying Leadership development with Tony Robbins, as well as at Landmark Education Worldwide. In 2013, she studied Human Health and Global Environmental Change at Harvard Extension School. In 2020, she studied Writing for Social Media and Business at UC Berkeley Extension and in 2023, she studied Sustainable Business Strategy at Harvard University.
Throughout her career, Amanda has received many awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her accomplishments. This year she will be considered for the Empowered Woman Award and to be featured in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine. She will be honored at IAOTP's annual awards gala at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville this December for her selection as Top Social Impact Influencer of the Year.
In addition to her successful career, Amanda is involved in important volunteer work. She currently volunteers at BeLoved Atlanta, which is an organization that provides safe homes and a two-year restoration program rooted in both the Christian faith and proven therapeutic strategies. Their residential and restoration programs are designed to equip women with the power to create a new path in life. BeLoved Atlanta is a registered 501c3 non-profit and has been helping women escape adult industries in Georgia since 2012. She has also spent many hours volunteering at New Orleans Habitat for Humanity as well as Decatur Cooperative Ministry Incorporated.
