LDC and ADK present Germany's first data center with a building resource passport at the Hannover Messe

Hanover, [date] - Leadership Datacenter GmbH (LDC), a pioneer and general contractor in the field of digital infrastructure, and ADK Modulraum GmbH have unveiled Germany's first data center with a Building Resource Passport at this year's Hannover Messe. This innovative initiative marks a significant step towards more sustainable construction and underlines LDC's corporate slogan "We build your digital ecosystem" in conjunction with a profound commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).



Faced with the challenges of a linear economy that wastes environmental and economic value by not reusing building materials after demolition, Leadership Datacenter GmbH and ADK Modulraum GmbH are setting a new standard. EU Regulation 2020/852 on taxonomy, part of the Green Deal, aims to demonstrate the environmental sustainability of investments and promotes the reuse of building materials. In line with this goal, the newly presented data center is designed to comply with the principles of circular construction by relying on recyclable materials and thus minimizing the ecological footprint.



Björn Oellrich, CEO of ADK Modulraum GmbH, emphasized the importance of the initiative: "The Hannover Industrie Messe, together with our partner Leadership Datacenter, is exactly the right momentum to go public with this sustainable approach. The building resource passport, drawn up in accordance with DGNB requirements, serves as key documentation for all phases in the life cycle of a building, provides transparency about the materials used and their recyclability and thus contributes to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. This approach makes a significant contribution to the circular economy and shows that buildings can make a proactive contribution to sustainability.

The data center module can be viewed during the Hannover Messe in the outdoor area S91 in front of Hall 14 and will remain in active use as a permanent exhibit on the Smart Venue Campus.
