Citify opens an online marketplace for city merchants
MONTREAL, Qc- June 23, 2016- Citify.ca, an online ecommerce platform, has announced today that it has opened an online marketplace for local merchants and service providers in North America. Local stores will be able to open an online store and sell and deliver their products to their customers through its app and online marketplace.“I was inspired one day when I did not feel like shopping with my wife,” said Lyon Leshley, the founder of Citify.ca, “and I wished for an easier way to shop in my city online. So why not an app where I can just push a button on my tablet or cell phone and get the products delivered to my door from any shop in my city”. According to the founder, his platform is a great way to discover lesser known shops and find unique items that can be found in one’s very own city, and also virtually shop in other cities across North America.
Shoppers will be able to search for products according to criteria and location on their cell phone, tablet, through its app and online site. They will also be able to shop according to their budget, leave reviews, add to favourites, share on social media, ask questions, and contact merchants directly through its platform.
Merchants are welcome to open a store and place as many products for sale for free. Citify.ca collects a 5% commission after each sale a merchant makes on Citify.ca. Citify.ca uses Pay Pal as its payment gateway and accepts all major credit cards.
Merchants are responsible for their refund and return policies and customer care. This is to allow merchants to have the freedom to interact with their customers in their own unique way.
Merchants are responsible for the shipping, but a Citify.ca delivery service is in the works and will open some time in the future. The Android app of the marketplace can be found at Amazon Appstore.
Citify is an ecommerce platform that serves local retailers and service providers to have their items and services online for sale for local and international shoppers.
