The Binopterus – Wind energy available for everybody

With the motto „each watt matters“ a little mechanical engineering company near Heidelberg in Germany developed a new wind turbine to fight climate change . Everybody gets the possibility to produce his own electricity from wind power independently from the energy groups – with the Binopterus.
The Binopterus combines two wind turbine shapes in one. The resistance rotor „Savoniusrotor“ and the lift rotor „Darrieusrotor“. The combination of the two shapes of wind turbines allows the Binopterus to start at a wind speed of 2 m/s and provide a constant charging current at 3 m/s. At a higher wind speed the lift rotor takes over and surpasses the resistance rotor, which allows a workspace for the Binopterus from 3 m/s to 25 m/s.
The Binopterus – unique in form, design and function. All parts are made of aluminium and stainless steel, which ensures a very long service life without loss of performance.
The Binopterus will be delivered directly to your door in preassembled parts by a parcel service. It can be assembled and installed in just a few easy steps. With various adapters the Binopterus can be mounted on a mast, gabled or flat roof, company roof, carport, in an allotment garden, somewhere in the middle of nowhere etc. or on a wall. The Binopterus is absolutely without noise, works independently from the wind direction and allows a wind speed of up to 3 m/s to load a 12 Volt or 24 Volt battery. The power can be fed into the building grid with a conventional inverter.
A new control-unit “the windoptimizer“, developed exclusively for the Binopterus, supplies a continuous charge even at changing wind speeds. The windoptimizer has a USB interface to charge a smartphone or laptop directly at the unit. The windoptimizer is included in the delivery. The Binopterus is absolutely storm-resistant and equipped with two breaks, one automatic storm-resistant, which works automatically at a wind speed of 25 m/s and a manual break which can be manually triggered on the windoptimizer.
Optionally the Binopterus can be equipped with two wind wings „windcollector“, which “collect” the wind and allow the start of the wind turbine even in very low wind speed regions. The wind wings of the windcollector can also be used as advertising areas.
The Binopterus is the perfect supplementing for solar power since you can produce clean energy in any kind of weather.
