ScienceWizKids: Bridging the STEM Opportunity Gap for Underprivileged Students

Black high school students score, on average, 70% lower in STEM subjects compared to their white counterparts. Additionally, only 28% of black students perform at grade level in math and science, compared to 60% of white students and 80% of Asian students. These discrepancies persist into college, with only 32% of black students earning STEM degrees compared to 60% of white students.
