Talented children at Durlston School publish a charming new poetry collection with royalties going to a local charity
About the Book:The children at Durlston School in Barton on Sea, New Milton have done it again! Following on from their initial children's book entitled "Small Town Boy", the talented children of Durlston School have produced another excellent book, this time publishing a collection of heartfelt poems about their family, friends & pets with the help of poet and radio show presenter Clive Asher. All profits from this book will go to a local charity. As it says on the back cover of the book:
"Your judging eyes interpret quickly with assurance upon the view,
Yet what they tell you is not always true,
Below our outer shield with structure and mind beats a heart honest and true
You cannot judge a person by view
Only through love can you understand."
Acknowledgements in the book:
"Durlston Court School wishes to thank Clive Asher for his inspirational poetry workshops which directly led to the writing of this poetry book; Nanou Blair Gould for her stunning illustrations and her editing skills; David and Anna Murray for their continued generous support. Durlston Court is very proud, but not boastful, that this is the second book written partly by the original authors of 'Small Town Boy', and with contributions from many other pupils.
I am humbled by the creative talent of so many young people; inspired by the impact of poetry.
All profits from this poetry book will go to a local charity."
Jane Asplin-Locke, Head of English

Michael Tolkien publishes his new collection of poetry which reflects the dynamism of the natural world and mercurial nature of human relationships
About this poetry collection:
Uncertainty is a major theme of this collection. It is shown to be perplexing, moving, even uplifting, as found in personal relationships and behaviour observed in both the human and 'natural' worlds. The doldrums and peaks of the capacity for 'creative' work add…
