Cleantech Startup Electric Outdoors Celebrates One Year of Sustainable Innovation

DETROIT, Michigan, Apr. 2, 2024 - Electric Outdoors, Inc., a pioneer in sustainable off-grid camping systems, is proud to announce the celebration of its one-year anniversary. Since incorporating on April 3, 2023, Electric Outdoors has made great strides toward revolutionizing sustainable camping through its innovative flagship product, the EO Canopy.

Working with a purpose-driven team of tech and outdoor enthusiasts, Electric Outdoors is tapping into two rapidly growing segments-outdoor recreation and e-mobility-in order to connect people with sustainable experiences in nature. In the past year, the company has reached many key milestones, including the successful development of its initial prototype unit.

The EO Canopy is a first-of-its-kind camping platform powered entirely by sustainable sources, making off-grid energy, water, and waste handling available to EV drivers, RVers, and other campers. With built-in charging capabilities, the Canopy makes it possible for electric vehicle drivers to camp in remote areas, knowing they'll get home with plenty of charge. It also opens up new revenue opportunities for landowners looking to tap into the increasing demand for new camping experiences.

With a mission of unlocking new land and destinations and making them accessible to all campers, Electric Outdoors is rapidly accelerating into its next phase of commercialization in 2024. Applying learnings from its prototype and early stage development, the company is getting ready to launch its pilot phase, featuring 14 EO Canopy units. The first four units will be launched as part of a trailblazing camping experience in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this summer.
