Medilync Selected as People’s Choice of 2016 in the Nordic Startup Awards

Medilync was founded with the goal of revolutionizing diabetes management with a unified, all-in-one patient device and big data cloud platform.
Medilync was awarded the People’s Choice Award of 2016 in a pool of 730 startup finalists from all Nordic countries at the 2016 Nordic Startup Awards in Reykjavik, Iceland. The aim of the Nordic Startup Awards is to inspire, encourage, and recognize entrepreneurship in the Nordic region. It happens not only by honoring the most successful startups, but by focusing on the entire environment - from the investors and journalists to the founders and developers.
The Nordic Startup Awards honors the most successful startups from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland. At the grand finale, the winning startups from each country will compete in 14 categories.
The award comes at a pinnacle time for Medilync, as they are pleased to announce the opening of a $4 million Series A fundraising round.

Medilync’s platform simplifies the physical burden of diabetes management by bringing all devices and supplies into one elegant device – Insulync. Insulync stores and uses a patient’s preferred insulin pen and test strips, accompanied with a built-in smart glucose reader, and inter-changeable. Insulync then syncs the data automatically in the cloud for real-time patient monitoring in their trademark cloud platform Cloudlync. Cloudlync enables providers with the ability for remote monitoring of diabetes patients, patient segmentation and risk algorithms based on machine learning, and continuous data of patients between episodes of care.
