Respect Your Legacy Records

nspired by the lack of coverage of The Haitian Revolution even on the recent anniversary of the birth of Toussaint L’ouverture, Respect Your Legacy Records have embarked on a mission to raise the profile of this moment of history with a musical compilation called ‘Liberty or Death’.

The London based label are looking to collaborate with artists from around the world, but in particular Haiti, who are able to bring the atmosphere of this revolution to life.

"We firmly believe that the Haitian Revolution is a monumental moment in human history and should be given that level of reverence. It’s apparent that it’s not really given the honour it deserves and we want to do what we can to change that"

The label is looking at completing the compilation by the end of the year with a view to release it early in 2017

Respect Your Legacy Records is a London based record label that focuses on the promotion of artists and music from the Caribbean. Ounded by Blee, a native of the volcanic island of Montserrat, Blee himself feels it is important to focus on the nurturing and development of talent from the island as well as throughout the Caribbean where there is a wealth of talent waiting to be discovered. While Respect Your Legacy Records does focus on Caribbean artists, it also recognises that any legacy worthy of respect is one that unifies and as such collaborates with artists from all over the world.
