VintaSoft Twain ActiveX Control v6 Released!

VintaSoft Ltd releases the major version 6.0 of VintaSoft Twain ActiveX Control, which includes several long-awaited features and enhancements in the ActiveX library functionality. This version of the Twain ActiveX is fully compatible with the latest version of TWAIN specification.

Version 6 of VintaSoft Twain ActiveX Control significantly improves the algorithm that acquires images from scanner in Memory transfer mode. It also includes plenty of new properties, methods and events, which simplify work with capabilities of scanner, adding also a lot of major and minor fixes.

This image scanning library implements now the ability to save images acquired from scanner to PDF and PDF/A document as well as to save them to PNG file. The existing image processing functions, e.g. despeckle, deskew, detect image border, is blank image, were improved and complemented with new image processing functions: invert, change brightness, change contrast, crop, resize canvas.

VintaSoft Twain ActiveX - a pure ActiveX component written in C++ is optimized for the use in any programming environment and language that supports work with ActiveX controls.

VintaSoft staff tests in common practice about a hundred of TWAIN scanners with the SDK, both available at our office and tested by our experienced users. The SDK is also deeply tested in VintaSoft's Internal Test System, running thousands of automated and manual tests, to guarantee the delivery of the most reliable version of our TWAIN library to the market of software components.
