Sonitrol Tri-County thwarts Detroit library break-in

– A Sonitrol Tri-County monitoring center operator helped Detroit Police and private security personnel apprehend one person during a break-in at a city library branch on Thursday, May 19.
The Sonitrol operator was alerted to suspicious activity at the Detroit Public Library’s Knapp Branch at 13330 Conant on Detroit’s northeast side. The operator verified the illegal entry, and dispatched Detroit Police and the library’s private security company to the library, where police took an individual into custody.
