Designer created an ergonomic case for the Apple Pencil as a Kickstarter project

Improving things that are already good - that's what two brothers, both from Bavaria (Germany), thought so they published their first project on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter: The protoPen, an ergonomic sleeve for the Apple Pencil.
Beginning of march the idea came up to improve the rather new digital stylus from Apple. Since then Ben Freiholz and his brother Bernhard worked on lots of weekends on a fitting product. Shae and material have been specified, possible producers contacted and a prototype, made of a flexible material, created on a 3D printer.
Finally on March 2nd the crowdfunding project on Kickstarter has been published.
With the "protoPen" the Apple Pencil becomes an artistic pen. It is perfect for users of the iPad Pro who prefer taking notes or doing drawings. The protoPen is especially interesting for digital artists.
Until June 1st there is the possibility to support the project on Kickstarter and to reserve a protoPen.

Ben Freiholz, 33 years old, born in Bavaria. Graduated his design studies in 2009 at the Augsburg University of applied sciences. Since more than 6 years working at a startup company in Munich and additionally as freelancer.
The Kickstarter project protoPen is a joint-venture of Ben Freiholz and his brother Bernhard.
