PizzaRev–Valley Stream to Open with Fundraiser for Building Homes for Heroes

PizzaRev, a growing build-your-own artisanal pizza concept, has completed construction on its second Long Island location, at 2034 Green Acres Road West in Valley Stream, and is set to open on Thursday, May 19. The new PizzaRev will mark the Grand Opening with a “Pizza for a Purpose” fundraising event. Guests are invited to “name the price” of their custom-built, personal-sized pizzas, with a suggested $8 contribution to benefit Valley Stream-based Building Homes for Heroes. One hundred percent of donations from each person’s first pizza will benefit the not-for-profit, which builds and gifts mortgage-free homes, and completes home modifications, for veterans and their families.

“We look forward to serving the Valley Stream community and visitors to the Green Acres Mall,” explains Mike Tochluk, who operates the new PizzaRev with partners Alan Shearer and Chuck Kwon. “We feel the best way to demonstrate our commitment to Valley Stream is by benefiting Building Homes for Heroes, a local organization with national scope that supports the brave men and women who were injured while serving the country after September 11, 2001.”

What can families expect when they visit PizzaRev? According to Tochluk, a new way to experience pizza that is truly revolutionary.

“The option to choose your own crust and sauce and ‘build’ your own 11-inch pizza from a selection of cheeses and over 30 fresh toppings is a new concept for Valley Stream and the surrounding communities,” he observes. “With the recent installation of our custom-built, 900-degree stone hearth oven, Valley Stream guests will be able to craft their own artisanal-quality pizza and have it served piping hot in less than three minutes. We’ve already received a warm welcome from the community and we can’t wait to open our doors and start crafting!”

To celebrate the opening of the new restaurant, PizzaRev has launched a free-to-enter sweepstakes where five lucky guests will win Free Pizza for a Year.
