9. In the last stage of cooking, place a clean kitchen towel under the lid of the dish to absorb the excess moisture and prevent the rice from softening too much. The idea here is that the towel will capture the excess moisture and prevent additional moisture in the rice. Just place the towel under the lid during the last few minutes of cooking and make sure it is not near the heated hob;

12. But if you're in a hurry, you can always cook rice in the microwave. If you do not have time for culinary temptations, you can quickly prepare a small bowl of rice in the microwave.
