Design and Construction:
CONFAST wedge anchors consist of a threaded stud, a metal expansion clip, a nut, and a washer. The wedge anchor is inserted into a pre-drilled hole in the concrete, and as the nut is tightened, the metal clip expands to securely anchor the stud in place.
Materials:
These anchors are commonly made of materials such as zinc-plated carbon steel, galvanized or stainless steel when corrosion resistance and durability are needed.
Installation:
Installation involves drilling a hole into the concrete of a diameter matching the anchor size. The anchor is then inserted into the hole, and the nut is tightened to expand the clip, creating a tight connection.
