Preschool Revolution: Baby Sign Language Eases Educators' Daily Routine

The training courses offer a wide range of content focusing on early childhood communication through baby signs and their practical application in educational settings. To ensure broad reach, preschool lecturers specifically trained by the expert herself will offer preschool workshops across Germany. Kelly Malottke shares: "The first preschools in Heidelberg, day-care providers from the Jade community, as well as kindergartens in the Merzig-Wadern district have shown interest in this innovative training opportunity and are eager to experience communication through baby sign language."

These workshops provide the caregivers an opportunity for practical exchanges and the application of the new baby sign language method, which is already recognized as a significant, and practical, trend among tens of thousands of parents in Germany and is successfully used in private settings. "It's high time children in these institutions also benefit from this advantage by directly communicating their needs to their caregivers. Given the current acute shortage of skilled professionals, innovative methods like baby sign language are in demand to provide immediate solutions," affirms Kelly Malottke.

She adds that she's already working with over 20 preschool lecturers nationwide to coordinate workshops, with plans to expand to 100 lecturers within the year. "Our aim is to reach at least 200-400 preschools in 2024. We're therefore seeking further interested educators and parent-coaches who share the vision 'Alleviating Preschool Routine through Baby Sign Language' and wish to be trained as preschool lecturers for baby sign language."
