Excel Software Ships QLRT Xcode 3.0 for Objective-C and Swift Developers
Excel Software today announced QLRT Xcode 3.0 for Objective-C and Swift developers creating Mac OS X software. QLRT Xcode is a static library containing the QuickLicense runtime software for protection, activation and license management. Xcode programmers can protect their software from piracy and increase revenue by supporting a variety of license types, activation methods and advanced licensing features.QLRT Xcode is used in conjunction with QuickLicense. The developer configures all aspects of the software license with QuickLicense and outputs a Ticket file. That Ticket file is bound to an application when the QLRT library is dropped into the Xcode project and called with a function in the source code. The programmer can focus on value added customer solutions since the runtime implements the internal protection, activation and licensing features.
QLRT Xcode 3.0 supports all features introduced in the new QuickLicense 8.0. It includes sample code and instructions for both Objective-C and Swift programmers. In addition to computer unique offline activation with an Activation Code, Serial Number online activation works with the Safe Activation server or self-hosted WebActivation or Desktop License Server running on a company website. USB dongle activation is also supported where developers generate their own dongles with MakeDongle.
Xcode programmers get a quick, integrated licensing solution. Call a simple function to implement fast, streamlined security in minutes with no exposed interface. With a tiny disk and memory footprint, the embedded runtime software allows one software build to support Trial, Product, Try/Buy, Subscription or Floating licenses.
While one command is sufficient for many applications, the runtime library supports dozens of command strings to access all licensing features available in QuickLicense. Runtime commands include license release, license restore, license reset, license suspend, remote enabling of features, field read and write, plus data send and receive through the activation server.
