Mounir Kudsi: New Vice President Research and Development at Bühler Motor
R&D at Bühler Motor even closer to customersNuremberg, 5 April 2016 – With effect from 1 February 2016, Mounir Kudsi has assumed responsibility for the Research and Development division of Bühler Motor GmbH. As Vice President Central Research and Development, he succeeds Dr. Ralph Böhm, who will be tackling new challenges.
Bühler Motor is one of the leading suppliers of innovative mechatronic drive solutions, with over 1,700 employees at 10 locations on 3 continents, with the focus on the automotive, industrial, medical technology and seat actuation markets.
Mounir Kudsi brings a wealth of experience in the development of customer-specific drive solutions to his new position.
Since joining Bühler Motor as a development engineer in 2001, he has been involved in the development of the Bühler Motor auxiliary water pumps. Mounir Kudsi also played a leading role in the development and validation of further drives such as the DSM main and emergency motors, ASA motor, Getrag actuator for Smart gears and the Eaton motor.
In 2005, he moved to the sales side as Key Account Manager. With his remarkable understanding of customer requirements and his experience as a development engineer, he succeeded in gaining such customers as VW and GM.
Finally, in 2010, Mounir Kudsi was appointed manager of the entire thermal management program segment of the Bühler Motor Group. Here, he pushed forward with the expansion of a pump family for all conceivable uses below the main water pump. The common technical concept of this family of pumps, known as bFlow pumps, allows the company to respond to all customer requirements with much shorter development times and lower costs.
"We are delighted to know that, with Mounir Kudsi, the Research and Development division is in the best of hands. Mr. Kudsi is more familiar than almost anyone with the increasing demands of our customers and is fully aware of our strengths and weaknesses. We feel that he will ensure that we develop precisely the innovative products and processes that will continue to help our customers stay well ahead of their competitors in the future too", commented Peter Muhr, President and CEO of Bühler Motor GmbH.
