BlueCielo Meridian Asset Management Connector 2016 Achieves Certified Integration with SAP® ERP

Official SAP-certified integration between SAP ERP and BlueCielo Meridian Asset Management Connector 2016 fully connects maintenance and engineering through increased interoperability.

BlueCielo ECM Solutions today announced that its software suite BlueCielo Meridian Asset Management Connector 2016 (Meridian) has achieved certified integration with the SAP® ERP application. Meridian interfaces with the SAP Enterprise Asset Management (SAP EAM) solution via the plant maintenance component in SAP ERP. The solution has been proven to integrate with SAP ERP, combining the maintenance data management functionality of SAP ERP with the engineering information management capabilities of Meridian.

Meridian and SAP ERP integrated
The Meridian integration with SAP ERP makes it possible to link technical documentation created in the course of engineering change projects with assets maintained in the plant maintenance component of SAP ERP or SAP EAM. This offers operations, maintenance and engineering users access to up-to-date asset information such as piping and instrumentation diagrams, isometrics, operations manuals, maintenance manuals, standard operating procedures and others.

The integration consists of the following two functional components:
1. Accessibility of critical asset documentation to staff in operations and maintenance.
2. Visibility on the completeness of critical asset documentation through dashboards.

The certified integration of Meridian and SAP ERP can improve interdepartmental communication, enhance efficiencies and optimize project execution. Interoperability between the two applications provides access to all required documentation specified by stakeholders for every asset or piece of equipment. Meridian’s powerful Engineering Information Management capabilities help ensure that accurate, up-to-date information is always available, even during plant modification projects.
