Intel® Extreme Masters Global Challenge: League of eSports champions live at DreamHack
The league of eSports champions – Main round matches of Europe's finest eSportsmen – 285,000 US Dollar prize potCologne, November 26th 2007 – The Intel® Extreme Masters Global Challenge will present live games at DreamHack in Jönköping, Sweden. The Intel® Extreme Masters is the global league of eSports champions organised by the Electronic Sports League (ESL). Over 740,000 gamers compete in the ESL and only the cream of crop qualify for the Intel Extreme Masters. Europe's best professional gamers compete in the disciplines Counter-Strike and Warcraft 3 on the latest gaming hardware by Intel. They fight to qualify for the global finals of the Intel® Extreme Masters to be held at the CeBIT exhibition in Hanover. The presented matches will be taken from the main round of the eSports league of champions. The league is endowed with 285,000 US Dollar prize money by Intel.
A World of Warcraft® Global Challenge has been added to the international Intel® Extreme Masters Season II through collaboration between the Electronic Sports League, Intel Corporation, Blizzard Entertainment and Dell Inc. as a show of support for the World of Warcraft pro-gaming community. The sponsors have come together to produce a global final at DreamHack backed with a prize purse of 75,000 Dollars. The eight top-ranked teams from past tournaments have been invited to Sweden to compete for the "World's Best" honor.

"At the DreamArena in the eSports hall, 1,000 spectators will be able enjoy the Intel® Extreme Masters Season II."
Dell will supply the entire Intel® Extreme Masters Season II with today's latest PC technology, including Dell's award-winning XPS 720 desktops and XPS M1730 notebook PCs, powered by Intel® Core® 2 Extreme quad-core processors.

Along the Intel® Extreme Masters Global challenge several other gaming events will be held by Intel at the Dreamhack Winter 2007.
