Tuberculosis (or) TB is a chronic infectious disease which is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Active Tuberculosis stage enable bacteria spread to others. It can occur in initial stages after infection with the Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria, or it might occur years later. Tuberculosis can be diagnosed through the tuberculin skin test or blood test. The positive tuberculin test or blood test enable to detect person infected with bacteria but it unable to detect latent tuberculosis infection.
