Andhra Pradesh NGO Launches Ambitious 20-Day Blanket Distribution Campaign

In a recent press conference, the Andhra Pradesh-based NGO, spearheaded by its founder Prudhvi Moses, unveiled plans for a 20-day blanket distribution initiative. Building on the success of last year's efforts, where over 350 blankets were distributed across 18 villages, the organization aims to elevate its impact by targeting 500 blankets this year, contingent on donor support.

Addressing the media, Prudhvi Moses emphasized the critical need for blankets in local communities and urged donors to prioritize this essential item over other contributions. He revealed that the NGO has already amassed 80 blankets in the past two months, stressing the ongoing appeal for blanket donations.

In a unique twist, the organization is encouraging potential donors to forego traditional contributions like chicken lunches, cakes, or sweets and instead focus on providing blankets, underlining the pressing demand for this basic necessity.

The NGO has opened registrations for external volunteers keen on participating in the blanket distribution program. Volunteers can play a crucial role in both assisting with the distribution process and identifying beneficiaries in need.

The inaugural event is set to be graced by the local Member of Parliament on the first day, with subsequent distributions scheduled across various villages over the following 20 days.

In a noteworthy development, the NGO recently secured the renewal of its FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) certification for an additional 5 years. Additionally, the 12A and 80G certifications have also been successfully renewed. Jason Raja, the organization's administrator, highlighted the significance of these renewals, emphasizing that taxpayers can take advantage of this opportunity to contribute to the NGO and benefit from applicable tax exemptions.
