Vulcan Materials Company Ft. Pierce Quarry Continues Partnership with St. Lucie County 4-H to Support Youth Development and Hands-On Education Opportunities

Vulcan Ft. Pierce Quarry team and St. Lucie County 4-H staff and leaders are coming together to expand 4-H outreach opportunities for St. Lucie County youth in 2023 and beyond.

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fl., (November 6, 2023) - The Vulcan Materials Company Ft. Pierce Quarry team is proud to continue its partnership with St. Lucie County 4-H to support St. Lucie County youth education and development. This partnership includes sponsorship of the St. Lucie County 4-H Spooktacular Family Farm Festival and continued support for programming and necessary materials for the 4-H Farm.

"Through this and future sponsorship, we hope to use farm tours to increase our reach by 50% from the 4,000 contacts we are currently reaching, "stated John Ferguson, UF/IFAS Extension 4-H Agent in St. Lucie County. "The Vulcan Ft. Pierce Quarry team stepped up to sponsor the 2023 Spooktacular Family Farm Festival and provide ongoing support for our 4-H Farm educational programs and materials. Their generous sponsorship ranges from our new 4-H Farm demonstration square foot garden beds and shade sails to improved signage throughout the Farm. Vulcan Ft. Pierce Quarry's support has helped us to expand and improve the educational opportunities available to St. Lucie County youth. We look forward to continuing this partnership to support our community and region."
