WEROCK presents new 8″ Rugged Tablet with improved performance and energy efficiency

WEROCK Technologies GmbH, innovative manufacturer of rugged tablets, notebooks and mobile computers, introduces the Rocktab S208 G2, a new rugged Android tablet for working in tough conditions. The successor to the proven Rocktab S208 offers a host of improvements and upgrades that make the tablet even more powerful and efficient.

The Rocktab S208 G2 is ideal for use in harsh indoor and outdoor conditions. It defies harsh environments and is ideal for working on machinery, technical equipment and outdoors. The rugged 8″ industrial tablet features a scratch-resistant, sunlight-readable display with gesture-enabled touchscreen, withstands drops from over 1.2 meters and withstands temperatures from -10 to +50 degrees Celsius. The shock, vibration and drop resistance as well as the resistance to water and dust according to IP65 let the tablet shine under any circumstances.

Compared to the previous model, WEROCK's new tablet offers several technical improvements. One of the most important improvements of the Rocktab S208 G2 is the operating system. The tablet now runs on Android 12, which offers numerous new features and security improvements and enables seamless integration into existing work environments.

For fast and efficient work, the mobile computer also offers increased performance. With more RAM of 8 GB, complex tasks can be completed faster and more efficiently. The integrated Helio G99 SoC (System on a Chip) from Mediatek is based on 6 nm lithography, ensures improved performance and significantly lower energy consumption at the same time. The battery is generously dimensioned with over 22 Wh and manages a complete workday effortlessly and without intermediate charging of the battery.

Connection to measuring devices, printers, scanners or headsets is via USB 2.0 and USB C ports as well as a Bluetooth 5.2 interface. In addition, the industrial tablet has a 13-megapixel rear camera and integrated GPS for positioning. For communication, the new tablet also features dual-band WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and an integrated 4G LTE module for uninterrupted connectivity.
