Twisted Lipstick Comedy Show Partners with Women In Need for a Heartwarming Toy Drive

New York, NY - [Date] - Twisted Lipstick Comedy Show, is hosting a comedy event on November 7th at Eastville Comedy Club in Brooklyn. This is in partnership with Women In Need. It's sure to be a night filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the joy of giving. Twisted Lipstick Comedy Show aims to collect toys that will bring happiness to the children and make their holiday season a little brighter. Donors are encouraged to bring new and unwrapped toys suitable for children between the ages of 2 and 15 to the event.

MutiyaaVision, the Award-Winning Children's Book Author, Educator, Comedian, Poet, Founder of Twisted Lipstick Comedy Show, shared her personal connection to this cause.

"I identify with the children who live in homeless shelters because when I was 15, my mom and I moved into the first Women In Need homeless shelter back in 1985. That shelter offered my mom a refuge to escape an abusive relationship while allowing her to work on her sobriety." Says Vision.

"When I think of the added trauma, stress, fear, and anxiety that children in transient housing face, I want to use my agency in every way to inspire, empower, and fortify them. Something as simple as a toy has the power to uplift and put a smile on their souls. It says, 'I see you; You are valued; You are supported, and you are not alone! The collective 'I's' have your back!'"

Natasha "Face" Ross, a comedian and host, spoke from her personal experience as well.

"When I was a single mother and pregnant, I found myself in a predicament where I had to move into a hotel with my 6-year-old son. We were in need and benefitted from services provided by many faceless and nameless sponsors to help me and my growing family get back on our feet. So I always look for opportunities for my adult children and me to give back to the community."
