Structure: establishing the automation structure

With some automation already underway, after the initial phase, the need for an organized structure becomes evident. This step is about establishing processes. Defining a standardized protocol for automation requests is crucial, ensuring that all demands are handled consistently. Furthermore, establishing clear criteria for project prioritization helps to align automation with the company's strategic objectives. Another important point is to determine clear responsibilities for continuous monitoring and maintenance of robots after implementation. This ensures that automation is sustainable and efficient in the long term.

Scale: maximizing the potential of automation

With a solid foundation and a well-defined structure, the company is ready to expand its automation initiatives. However, scaling is not just about the quantity of robots but about impact. Implementing robust governance practices such as risk assessment, regulatory compliance, training and capacity building, and proper documentation is essential to ensure the efficiency of automation as it grows in number. Furthermore, performance indicators mustn't be limited to operational metrics. They should reflect positive customer impact, process transformation and overall contribution to the company's strategic objectives.

Each step is crucial and ensures that automation not only meets current needs but is also flexible enough to adapt to future demands.
