2023 APEC International Workshop on capacity building on how investment facilitation policies can enhance sustainable investment

Chinese Taipei actively participates in the Investment Experts Group (IEG) of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and considers sustainable investment as one of our primary areas of focus. In recent years, we have been actively promoting sustainable investment and proudly sharing our achievements in this field.

In the post-pandemic era, the significance of sustainable investment has become even more pronounced. It is crucial to increase investment flows and ensure sustainable and inclusive regional recovery. We urgently need to explore how to promote sustainable investment through effective investment facilitation policies. These policies include fiscal measures such as tax incentives and financing support, as well as non-fiscal measures like providing investment services to eliminate investment barriers.

Considering the limited public resources, it is essential to carefully formulate investment facilitation policies to ensure they align with standards and indicators of sustainability and inclusiveness. Our country is committed to leading efforts to promote sustainable investment practices within the APEC community.

We are pleased to announce that the APEC Investment Experts Group (IEG) meeting will be held at the Taipei International Convention Center, Room 101, on September 25th and 26th, 2023. The event will take place from 09:00 to 16:30 on Day 1 (Monday, September 25, 2023) and from 09:00 to 11:40 on Day 2 (Tuesday, September 26, 2023).
