The entire development of the new medical Body Composition Analyzer seca mBCA 525 had one goal: To optimize mobile bioimpedance measurement through efficient and precise measurement technology, convenient handling, and low weight. We have succeeded: The seca mBCA 525 is one of a kind in terms of function and performance.

The seca mBCA 525 provides a complete analysis of body composition using medically validated* data for diagnosis and therapy. The innovative centerpiece is a measuring mat as a multifunctional tool. In just 30 seconds, the mBCA 525 measures all of the necessary parameters such as fat mass, muscle mass, and body water. The values are then transmitted to the touchscreen monitor via WLAN. The mat is fed by its own rechargeable battery that is charged by induction, thereby guaranteeing high mobility.
The measuring mat also gives simple visual instructions on how to correctly apply the eight adhesive electrodes on hands and feet. An automatic electrode test is first carried out before each measurement. The measuring mat lies on the patient's legs, so short cables simplify the work and eliminate the typical tangle of wiring. The electrodes have an Easy SnapTM mechanism and can be quickly connected to the adhesive electrodes without applying any pressure.

The large memory of the monitor has sufficient capacity for over 100,000 measurements. This enables numerous patients and courses of therapy to be reliably documented for years, regardless of location. The results are displayed on the monitor or conveniently arranged into an easy-to-read one page printout supporting the doctor's diagnosis and simplifying patient consultation. The touchscreen monitor can also be operated while wearing gloves and under a protective cover.

The seca mBCA 525 is geared toward unlimited mobility and high functionality. The measuring mat is stored in a compartment on the monitor for easy transport, where it is charged by induction. If the WLAN is switched off then the collected data can optionally be synchronized with the monitor via a visual interface. The seca mBCA 525 is lightweight and can be taken from one place to the next without any problem, thanks to its practical carrying handle. Its mobility is optimized even further through its optional carry case and rolling stand with a basket for patient files and accessories.
