Company Launches African Art for Change Campaign & Subscription Box for the Socially Conscious

Creatives Auction's African Art for Change initiative is creating a new way for African artists to play a bigger role in driving societal change each quarter through impactful campaigns and a first-of-its-kind limited-edition African art subscription box.

Abuja, Nigeria, September, 1st 2023 - Creatives Auction today announces the launch of its quarterly African Art for Change Campaign & Subscription Box. This is a novel initiative that seeks to double down on the role that art can play in society through impactful campaigns around key societal issues and a limited-edition collection of themed socially conscious artworks by fast-rising African artists.

"Currently, Africa contributes less than 1% to the $4.2 trillion global creative economy, highlighting its untapped potential. Many talented young African artists struggle due to limited opportunities, often resorting to unrelated jobs for survival. At Creatives Auction, we envision a future where African art shapes society and gains prominence. This is the driving force behind our African Art for Change initiative," says Priscilla Asonibare, Founder of Creatives Auction. "Through this project, we create an avenue to not only drive positive change in society but also increase the accessibility and affordability of artworks by African artists. We want to see art by African artists hung up across thousands of homes around the world and increase the viability of a career as a visual artist for the next generation of Creatives."

We are kicking off this initiative with a campaign against mental health stigma and subscribers to the quarter's box will receive;
- 5 unique limited-edition (500 editions) artwork prints on stretched canvas by 5 emerging to mid-career African artists. The works will creatively speak to the mental health journey and carry powerful messages of strength and overcoming
- A certificate of authenticity
- A free gift related to our quarter's theme.
- An original art collection that only 500 people across the world will ever own & appreciates in value as the careers of the artists grow.

The subscription box starts at $119 and 5% of our profits for the quarter will be donated to a mental health non-profit organization working to help Africans access mental health care.
