eccenca joins Enterprise Data Management Council

eccenca, a German software company for metadata management, is pleased to announce that they joined the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Council.

EDM council is a non-profit association of financial institutions and service companies that aims to elevate the practice of data management in the financial industry. One of the key initiatives of EDM Council is FIBO – the Financial Industry Business Ontology. FIBO is a formal description of the domains relevant to the financial industry and fully in line with eccenca’s approach of data management and integration.

eccenca shared the EDM Council to provide their expertise in data virtualization and metadata management using semantic technologies. Chris Brockmann, CEO of eccenca says: "We see a perfect match of the current regulatory challenges that the financial industry faces with our technological capabilities.
