Press release from: Music Ally

LONDON – 1 November 2007 - Music Ally, the leading digital music research and strategy company, and the MidemNet Forum, the two-day conference exploring how digital is driving the music business forward, are delighted to announce the launch of the Music Ally/MidemNet "New Business Showcase". This will take place as part of the MidemNet conference in Cannes from 26-27 January 2008.

The showcase will highlight the most enterprising, innovative and inspiring business ideas to help to create value and move the music industry forwards in the 21st century. The six most inspiring business ideas will be invited to present at the MidemNet Forum where they will be voted on by attending delegates.

Music Ally MD Paul Brindley commented, "Innovation is key to the success of the music industry in the 21st century, but it’s often way ahead of the music industry’s commercial realities. The idea of this initiative is to recognise innovation at whatever stage of development the business is at. Above all, what we are looking for are original and inspiring business ideas which can ultimately help to create value for the music business."

"In a context where it is more important than ever to reinvent how we can create value out of music, we are very pleased to give a stage at the MidemNet Forum to the most innovative new business ideas for music", says Dominique Leguern, Director of MIDEM.
