Open Source Monitoring Conference 2015: Program is determined

From November 16th to 19th the leading conference on the field of open source monitoring will take place for the 10th time in Nuremberg. Now the complete program is available at the event´s website.
Nuremberg July 14th,2015
The throughout Europe leading Open Source Monitoring Conference (OSMC), will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a top-class cast of speakers and known symbolic figures of the Open Source scene. Among the speakers this time is for example Torkel Ödegaard, the developer of the Graphite web interface Grafana or the lead engineer for configuration management and monitoring at Spacex, Grant Hudgens.

Michael Medin, the developer of the monitoring agent NSClient++, will show how NSClient++ is applied best and which advantages it has over other monitoring agents.
The founder of Linux-HA (Pacemaker), Alan Robertson, will introduce the Assimilation Project that allows users to monitor systems, services and configurations, and compare them to best practices.
Florian Forster, founder of the collectd Project and site reliability engineer at Google will give an introduction to collectd with its "threshold" plugin and show different ways to combine collectd with Icinga.
Fabian Reinartz, one of the authors of Prometheus, will present the monitoring system and the process from instrumentation up to the alerting, in a demo.
In addition to the conference program the organizer offers thematically complementing workshops on the first day of the event. For the first time, a Hackathon takes place on the last day of the conference. These two add-ons can be individually combined with the packages Silver (without accommodation) and Gold (with accommodation).
The OSMC is one of the most successful conferences for the topic of open source monitoring, for a decade. Year after year, it attracts a continually growing, international audience to Nuremberg. The program offers a wide range of presentations; from lectures for beginners, up to ones about monitoring solutions in complex and large environments or cluster systems.

The Open Source Monitoring Conference (OSMC) is an international platform that offers interested parties in open source monitoring tools, a chance to improve their knowledge and meet others with expertise in open source monitoring solutions. Since 2006 it takes place in Nuremberg (Bavaria/Germany) annually in autumn. With several hundreds of attendees from all over the world, it has grown to become Europe’s leading conference for open source monitoring software.
The bilingual program (German/English) offers a wide range of presentations that reach from lectures for beginners, up to ones about monitoring solutions in complex and large environments or cluster systems, which are primarily aimed at advanced experts.
The Open Source Monitoring Conference attracts IT authorities from the fields of system- and network administration, development and IT-management to visit Nuremberg.
