WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - FoundCare, a leading provider of healthcare services in Palm Beach County, is pleased to announce the date for its highly anticipated Back-to-School Health Fair. The event, scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 5, 2023, aims to provide free health services to school-aged children, ensuring they are fully prepared for the new academic year without the added stress and financial burden on their families.

The Back-to-School Health Fair, organized by FoundCare in collaboration with community partners, will offer an array of free health services including school physicals, vaccinations, hearing and vision screenings, backpacks with school supplies, and more. Due to high demand, the event will be by registration only with limited walk-ins. Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children early so they may take advantage of the free health services offered.

Christopher F. Irizarry, CEO of FoundCare, expressed the critical need for such an event within the community, stating, "The start of a new school year can be both exciting and challenging and ensuring our children are healthy and ready to learn is of the utmost importance. We are thrilled to organize the Back-to-School Health Fair and provide much-needed support to families in our community."

He further added, "Our 2022 Back-to-School Health Fair was the largest Back-to-School event we have experienced at FoundCare. Our team worked overtime to provide services to over 1,500 children. Although our primary goal is to provide our services to all who need them, we have taken the necessary step of requiring pre-registration to ensure we can deliver the highest quality care to each child in attendance, ensuring their well-being remains our top priority."

Parents and guardians interested in registering their children for the event are encouraged to do so online at https://foundcare.org/back2school. FoundCare's outreach team will target areas in the community to help register those who may not have online access. Anyone who requires assistance with registration are asked to call 561-432-5849.
