Galileo Group AG extends Partnership with CollabNet, Inc.

Transformation in application management for SAP® products due to globalization drives heightened co-operation

Munich, October 25, 2007 - The Galileo Group AG, a leading provider of software solutions for the application and transport management of SAP® products, has announced an extension of its strategic partnership with CollabNet Inc. In future the Galileo Group will maintain some of its own personnel at the CollabNet headquarters in Brisbane, California. This will not only further enhance the technical integration of the two companies' product portfolios but also enable Galileo to serve its clients in the North American market more efficiently.

In explanation of this move, the Galileo Group refers to a transformation in distribution which is not only a reflection of software development but also, and increasingly, finds expression in the realm of application management for SAP® products. The main feature in this transformation, which is driven by disparity in salary levels, is the distribution of tasks, teams, developments and projects across a variety of geographical locations and incompatible time zones.

"These days our clients distribute application management for SAP® products to software factories located on different continents all around the world. For example, an Offshore Center in Asia will not only look after installations for other nations in the Asian Pacific region but also use local Asian personnel in activities for its European organizational units," explains Malte Klassen, CEO of the Galileo Group.
