Businesses, large and small, must get ready to accept digital ID or get left behind, says OIX

2023 is proving to be one of enormous transformation for digital identity across the globe. Country after country is moving towards digital ID to access public and private sector services.

Digital ID will be a game changer for all businesses and other bodies and organisations that will come to accept and rely on digital ID as the primary way for their customers to access their services. It has vast potential for good in society and for businesses.

However, there is hesitation among a significant proportion of organisations, large and small, and this hesitation spans many sectors - banking, finance, travel, higher education, home buying and selling, rental and many more.

Although the topic has been on the radar of businesses for a while now, the Open Identity Exchange (OIX), a global community driving positive and inclusive developments for trusted digital identities, has found that less than half have actually moved further along the path to adoption.

To help answer questions and address concerns, the OIX is holding a major conference - #IdentityTrust2023 - which is free to those organisations that will come to accept and rely on digital ID. It will be the place where businesses can find the answers they need, as well as support and insight that is relevant to them.

Taking place on Thursday 28th September 2023 at County Hall in London, the conference is aimed at both global and UK based organisations across many sectors and promises to be the most valuable event this year for those that will come to accept digital credentials.
