MB Bäuerle presents a global novelty at the Achema

At the Achema fair that will be held in Frankfurt / Germany from June 15 until June 19, the folding machine manufacturer MB Bäuerle will show for the first time two versions of its fold module for producing package inserts for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and packaging industry (Hall 3.1, Stand A11). Both fold units are available for integration into cartoning and packaging machines and as stand-alone folding systems.

The leafletFOLDER NET 21 is characterized by its end-to-end automation. All major settings are made at the touch-screen display. Four automatic fold plates with integrated deflectors allow all common small folds down to a fold length of 15 mm. 16 types of fold are pre-programmed and can be recalled immediately - all other folds are freely programmable by entering the respective data. Fold rollers settings are also automated and even the code readers move to a defined position at the touch of a button. The computer control makes it possible to save the positions of the stops of fold plates, deflectors or the code reader and to set them again automatically when required. Thus up to 200 repeat jobs are exactly reproducible, which is of great use for small batches. The folder can be optionally equipped with professional scoring devices and a divert gate. A network interface permits the complex integration of the leaflet folder software into the control of the cartoning resp. packaging machine.

Also for the first time MB Bäuerle will present the new leafletFOLDER 21. This fold module, which is driven by means of low-noise, almost maintenance-free flat belts, combines innovative technology with maximum efficiency. The swivel-mounted feed table offers excellent accessibility. The leaflet transport module is extendable and easily removable. The large read area allows the integration of all code reading systems as well as reading from top to bottom. The manual fold unit with four fold plates is easy to handle. As fold plate and dummy plate form a single unit, there is no need to insert additional deflectors. Even multilayer, pre-folded inserts can be processed reliably with the folder.

MB Bäuerle, founded in the Black Forest town of St. Georgen in 1863, has been engaged in the development and manufacturing of machines for post-press paper handling for more than 60 years.
