Logwin expands location network in Germany

Grevenmacher/Aschaffenburg – Logwin is continuing to expand its network of locations in Germany. On May 1, the logistics service provider opened an office in the World Cargo Center at Halle/Leipzig Airport; an office in Erfurt opened on April 1.

Both regions have benefited from the prolonged economic upswing for a number of years – the demand for customer-oriented logistics solutions has grown enormously. This applies in particular to the sea and air freight business. "Our close-knit network of locations in Germany gives us an excellent position and we intend to grow further with the newly opened offices. Consequently, we are even closer to our customers in the region – making a dialog with them easier and furthering our understanding for specific customer needs," says Stefan Schwind, Country Director Germany at Logwin Air + Ocean.

Internationally connected

The new offices are part of the global Logwin network that currently comprises more than 180 locations on six continents offering customers transportation and logistics solutions for the entire supply chain. For example, both locations are connected to Logwin's air freight import and export hubs in Frankfurt and to the sea freight Gateway system from Hamburg.

The new offices in Leipzig and Erfurt were integrated into the globally standardised IT system from the very beginning. Besides worldwide air and sea freight transportation, staff will also be responsible for additional services such as customs clearance and value added services for customers from various industries.

The new location in the World Cargo Center Halle/Leipzig is situated in the direct proximity of the airlines – staff are able to expedite goods handling processes and customers benefit from fast execution. The Logwin office is already listed as an IATA agent and the certification procedure for the status of Regulated Agent is currently under way. Logwin in Leipzig will also be introducing quality and environmental management as the next step.
