Broadtalk Communications Launch Voice Over Broadband Service in Ireland

Dublin, Ireland -- On September 15, 2005 , Broadtalk Communications has launched a range of Voice over Broadband solutions and products for residential and business customers within Ireland and the United Kingdom. The service enables customers to make unlimited local, national and international calls from €14.99 per month. All customers receive a free local number, which means they are no longer tied into high line rental charges associated with the traditional telephony providers. Pay and call options are available also without any monthly subscriptions from €5.00 with calls to Europe, the USA and Canada from 1.7cent per/minute.

Broadtalk requires customers have a broadband internet connection. Broadtalk supplies customers with a special broadband phone or adapter priced from €59. The adapter connects their standard phone or cordless to the broadband connection. Customers can also download free software to make calls from their PC. Additionally customers who do not have broadband yet can still avail of the service and low calling rates from their standard land line or mobile via dedicated access numbers.

The service which is the result of over €1,5m investment within the past year has been available to testers since early 2005 and has already generated a strong following from existing customers during this time. With the Business Starter package, Business Customers receive a free broadband phone adapter providing from two lines for voice and fax with unlimited local, national and UK calls from just €34.99 per month. Broadtalk also stocks and supplies a range of VoIP products by leading vendors such as Cisco, Quintum Technologies, Sippura, Linksys, Grandstream, Vocaltec and many more.
