Jerusalem, Israel– Minicom Advanced Systems, a leading manufacturer of KVM solutions for remote server management, announces the launch of the Smart 116IP; a single user, digital KVM switch that provides secure BIOS level access and control to a rack of up to 16 servers either remotely or locally.

“The Smart 116 IP can be operated seamlessly under Minicom’s KVM.net global centralized KVM server management system – making it the ideal digital KVM switch for forward minded corporations that require a versatile, high-performance KVM switch today, and looking to centrally manage their globally distributed servers tomorrow” said Benny Hayumi, Product Manager for Minicom.

With an easy-to-use interface that makes it simple to navigate, the rack mountable, 1U sized digital switch features innovative ROC (RICC on Cable) dongle technology that connects the Smart 116 IP to each server in the rack. The Smart 116 IP also features the highest level security encryption, guarding corporate data through remote access while giving access and control over mixed platforms, including PS/2 and USB.
