WOAMG.tv and Scion try to preserve Hip-Hop as a culture by producing a mash up of talents

Providence, RI, October 17th, 2007 — WOAMG.tv in association with Scion present internationally known spoken word artist featured on DEF Poetry and LIVE at the Apollo in New York city, “Oveous Maximus”. Also performing Rhode Island native Swann Notty and hosted by Chachi of BEATBOX Studios. This event will showcase the areas various talents in poetry, rap and visual arts on one stage in downtown Providence at the Xxodus Café at the black rep 276 Westminster Street Sunday, October 28th 2007 at 8PM. This mash up of visual and sound art concept was the brainstorm of J’Juan (WOAMG.tv) and Chachi (BEATBOX Studios) who share a deep love of the urban arts and hip-hop culture. After weeks of development and searching for a sponsor “SEE-n-SAY!” was in full effect. Thanks to Scion, Cox Media and 95.5 WBRU 360 Sundays, they were able to make it happen, also with the help of Donald King and The Providence Black Rep / Xxodus Café was the stage for the event. WOAMG.tv turned to Chachi host of Providence Sound Session and Owner of BEATBOX Studios to help develop the format for “SEE-n-SAY!” based on Chachi’s production of RI HIP-HOP Peace Fest. In addition we invited spoken word artist and Rhode Island College graduate Oveous Maximus to perform and take the time off his college tour to honor the microphone with his moving poetry at “SEE-n-SAY!” on Sunday, October 28th, 2007. We will have a visual art showcase and an open Mic format with live taping of the event to air on WOAMG.tv and also considered to be featured on Scion’s Broadband. This event is 18+. General cover at the door is $10 and $5 with student ID. No cover for Scion owners who RSVP at www.scionpromo.com and show their vehicle key and RSVP at the door are admitted free and gain access to the VIP section courtesy of Scion.
