Socíale Dispensary Group Raises $3 Million for Illinois Retail Expansion

Socíale Dispensary, an Illinois based minority and social equity business, has successfully raised $3 million in capital to support their retail expansion in Illinois. Their first dispensary is slated to open in late June 2023 in Park Ridge, Illinois.

The investment capital raised will be used to expand and more retail dispensaries and increase its presence across the state.

Annu Khot, the Founder of Socíale, was inspired to enter the industry due to its potential for job creation, economic growth and helping the social equity cause.

"I believe that the industry is one that offers significant opportunities for innovation and positive change, and I want to be a part of that change," Khot said.

In addition, Illinois has created a balanced and practical Dispensary Program that enabled sustained growth with compliance.

Khot's success is particularly noteworthy given the challenges faced by women and minorities in the industry. She hopes that her success will inspire others and people of color to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams in the space.

In addition, roadblocks abound when raising capital. Financing from traditional institutions isn't permitted-so getting creative, crafting a compelling pitch, and not becoming frustrated by the word "no" is paramount.

"I want to serve as a role model for other women and minorities who may feel daunted by the potential obstacles in this industry," Khot said. "With hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to ethical and sustainable practices, we can achieve great things in the space."

The investment round was led by Neil Khot, an Advisor to Socíale, along with Tricia McGue, Sociale's Head of Investor Relations. With the new infusion of capital, Sociale is poised to accelerate its growth and further establish its position as a leader in the industry. Khot hopes that her leadership and vision will help to drive positive change in the industry for years to come.
